could smoking cause heart murmurs?

could an abnormal heartbeat have anything to do with menthol cigarettes? when i smoked menthol i often felt some weird spasms that are similar to what murmurs are described as, and when i quit smoking, it went away, but now i’m smoking full flavor and i haven’t felt one in a while. should this make me worried, or is this a cause to go to the doctor?

Right, firstly I'm not a not anywhere near, (two and a half years of being the most junior of juniors) and all I can say is that if you're worried you need to see a real not me!
I know that smoking can cause heart disease which can cause murmurs, but what you've described are palpitations, which I really don't know about

The solution to your tobacco pollution is the great swedish invention called snus. More nicotine and (almost certainly...) less bad side-effects.
