HIYA GUYS IM NEW HEAR CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME CAUSE IT JUST AINT EASY TRYING TO NAVIGATE ROUND ALL THESE SCREENS AND THAT. AND IS THERE ANY NORMAL CHATROOMS IN H2G2.

Firstly, welcome to H2G2...first and most important thing to remember... Don't Panic

To answer your question, H2G2 doesn't work in exactly the same way as a standard chatroom... Because people are posting from all over the world, there is sometimes a delay in response, so don't get disheartened if nobody answers within 10 seconds of you posting something...

Depending on what your interested in there's always a lot going on around here however... For instance - have a look at A148907 (Ask H2G2), which is always full of weird and wonderful questions and conversations... Alternatively, if serious writing is more your thing... have a look at PeerReview.

Another nice place to start is <./>DontPanic</.> (Which is our version of a help page ... If you have a look at the last page I just mentioned you'll find a nice little guided tour of the place...

Oh, and if you click on the anyone's name (like mine at the top of this posting) it'll take you to their personal page on H2G2, so you can see who they are.

(And if you put something on your personal space (Click on 'My Space' on the left hand side of the screen) and edit it, even if you only put 'Hi, I'm new and lost' . Someone will be around shortly to show you around the site...
