h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I think the first thing I ever saw him in was "Little Women", then "Swing Kids", realized he was the guy in "Newsies", and many more great flicks... looking forward to seeing this new one about dragons.

he's definitely fab - he's been in American Pyscho too, which was pretty freaky, he was too good! Reign of Fire unfortunately sucked, Bale was basically the only redeeming characteristic... He was also the kid in Empire of the Sun and in Shaft (the remake) as a baddie. Has anyone seen Equilibrium? It didn't come out at the movies here...

I've seen just about everything he's been in except American Psycho... I don't do flicks like that.

Equilibrium? Nope... I haven't even heard of it... I'm surprised.

I understand Equilibrium came out very very briefly in the states but is available on DVD on the net - out here in the antipodes (plus we have no DVD) i imagine i'll be waiting for it to (one day) make it to video <drumsfingerssmiley.

I'm not really an American Psycho kind of person either - it is really violent and quite sickening, but Bale is fantastic



What's Newsies like? I'd never heard of it until I started looking for things about Bale...

Newsies is a teenage Christian Bale singing and Dancing and doing a good American accent. Who could ask for more! Rent it. No... just go ahead and buy it.

oh that's easy to say - i live in the antipodes where our supply of videos is not all that fab - we have one specialist video store which has a decent range in the whole of Auckland! Unfortunately I also have a big fine with them, which I know I will have to face sooner or later, but I really think later would be better! If I ever see it I will grab it though - what kind of genre is it? I heard it is a musical about kids who sell newspapers???

Yeah, that's basically the plot... tons more interesting than it sounds.

even if the plot's not that fab who cares with christian bale to gaze at!

although i'd like to stress that i think he's a fine actor not just a fine physique

he doesn't seem to make lots and lots of movies, which is kind of nice after so many bad actors who often appear to be everywhere urgh

did you see Reign of Fire? Bale certainly made Matthew McConaghy look like he was acting in a Carry On film!
