h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

A friend from my church was visiting relations in the Hereford area for the weekend. It was the same weekend as the Pope's visit.

She went by train and bus instead of driving and as part of her journey, she went to the Cathedral.
As her case was heavy and had noisy wheels, she asked to have it stored safely while spending time there.
They willingly stored it and then when she was ready to leave, she went to collect the said case.
She had her name and destination on a label, which caused quite a fuss among the cathedral staff. They were wondering if it were the real thing or not.

Her surname is Pope

Was she wearing a really cool hat, by any chance?

When 'Dallas' was a top programme many years ago, with all of the scandal that it produced.
We used to say that the housing estate that I lived on, had more death, scandal, divorce etc etc than the programme. We didnt need to watch tv

I heard of that program, but much of the time that it ran, I worked in places with only one TV station ... off the air.

We have many many channels these days and its a case of nothing on any of them or (like tonight) 4 things at once.
