With all this rap stuff going on, I feel I shouldd do something that really defines me as a mixer that is NOT in a genre of music I am not quite fond of. Sure, Rap is a talent, but I don't care to listen to it or reguard it as much music. However, it is an art and I have to respect that so I say sorry if I offend any rappers out there.
For now, the Wanted Rap will be finished soon. I want to get that out of the way. Meanwhile, I also will be working on another one called "Revelation" which I think has some better lyrics and will sound much better after I work the lyrics to 4/4 instead of whatever Wanted is. Brian's computer is down, so I can't send him stuff over internet. I will still get stuff to him though, just means a lot of discs....
For the big news, I want to mix a song I actually like to listen to over and over. I'm going top be remaking the Genesis song Not About Us, which is off their Calling All Stations album. (I know that's not a popular album for Genesis fans, but the whole point of Genesis is that they change. This album is still a pretty good one even without Phil.) I may choose something else, but I want to do this for real, as in NO MIDI. I have the music but I'd need to teach myself the guitar part.... I'd hate to do it on keyboard, but I may if I can't manage guitar. I may just steal the intro from the original for a remix of it when I finish, but that's later. I expect the song to be done around Christmas, and hopefull also have the remix either near completion or done already. It'll be kinda hard, because the Program I use, ProTools Free is a little limited. Also, I'll be playing along to the recording so it may come out odd. It'll need mixing, but I can do it. 
Anyway, expect a cool tune like that, an instrumental version, and MAYBE a remix around Christmas. That's my present to you all for looking at my site which is having it's first Christmas and Half-year anniversary.
