Should have spent the evening at a concert in Hamburg -- Charlotte Gainsbourg
Instead of that, some guy jumped* under our train and we had to spend 3 hours in the middle of nowhere, so I arrived in Hamburg well after the concert started. I took the first train back home.
In a nutshell: not only did I miss the concert (and I had good seats, too), but I also spent a particularly boring evening. In an even smaller nutshell: I am sad, bitter and disappointed.
* or was pushed: the Kripo (criminal police?) came there at some point, apparently. Although we left within 10 minutes of their arrival.

It's very frustrating. Is there any way you can get your money back or some form of compensation?
Although I doubt it, somehow. I've been on a train to Frankfurt airport which was held up for nearly an hour. I hate to think how many people missed their flights. Who is to blame? You can't get the poor s*d who caused it, the Bundesbahn can't really help it either, the police are only doing their job.
A couple of years ago three kids were killed by a train in our village. The firemen, police, traindriver and some of the passengers all needed counselling and some are probably not over it even now.

Ah, actually I did have some thoughts for the train driver and whoever else saw that, and the friends and family of the victim
But as you said, it's quite frustrating. I'll see if I can get some sort of compensation (probably not, but you never know).
Still, I am not sure the Bahn couldn't have done something more efficient to get us out from the back of the train and into a bus or something. They have been definitely unhelpful with respect to announcements or telling passengers with train connections what to do afterwards. However, getting us somehow early to Hamburg is another thing: this sounds easy to do when you're the stuck passenger, but possibly much less so in reality.

My sympathies. I've had that happen more often than I care to remember.
I thought it was DB's fault, but seems it wasn't.
You should still try to get some compensation.
