A few days ago the verteran pro-wrestler Curt Hennig was found dead in his hotel room after he failed to rendevous with his fellow NWA:TNA employees. At the time of writing I am unaware of the actual cause of Hennig's death and can only offer my condolences to his loved ones and thank him for the contribution he made to the industry through the past three decades.
Known as "Mr Perfect" in the WWE, Hennig wrestled both there and in the now defunct WCW as well as on the independant circuit where he earned a reputation as a sound technical worker. Perhaps his highest accolade was lifting the WWE Intercontinental title which he defended with a swaggering style.
So long Kurt, good luck in the next life.

WWE did a tribute to him on the live Heat broadcast before No Way Out. It didn't feature any actual in ring footage which is a crying shame as he had fantastic matches with Bret Hart, Ric Flair and Kerry Von Erich. But they did show the vingettes that they filmed for the character where Hennig was labelled "perfect" by famous names from various sports like basketball, baseball and American football.
The only problem was that they had Lita working on the show as an announcer and she's worse than a dog with a chewy toffee. They should put Raven in that role as they aren't doing anything else with him.
