Did it really have to come back just before my last psychology exam?
I mean, really? I need to be revising as it is tomorrow and head-explody time. If I fail, I'm blaming noohootoo
interesting some of the old names appearing on the list, not sure if they are actually there though.

thanks lil - I'm gonna need the good luck, have had to rationalise the revision process somewhat due to time and my aging brain's ability to retain information. No stress - this is the last module so what I get on this exam essentially defines whether I get a 2.1, 2.2 or possibly even a 3rd if I really screw it up.

Thanks GB
And a lesser spotted VV too!
PC - well, exam was a 3hr 3 essay question format. Course has 4 books and first 2 questions were a choice from 6, 2 from each of the first 3 books. Convoluted huh? I'd biased my revision to books 1&2 to simplify things a bit and the essays I'd revised were on there. So I did about 4 sides of A4 on factors involved in caregiver/child interactions and their effect on child development (bit waffly, think I prob did ok, but didn't ace it by any means). 2nd Q I did on Social and Cognitive Theories of gender development in child-teen in a compare and contrast manner. Think I covered them all, might have got a tad confused about one of them. Again, about 4-5sides.
Final question was based on book 4 and is what they call a 'seen' question. Basically you choose a subject from book 4 and then have to do your own research on how 'developmental psychology has improved lives in this area'. I choose autism and wrote about 5 or sides on this.
So all in all, I didn't run out of things to say, it just depends on whether I said the right things in the right way or not. I finished with 15-20mins left.
BTW, for those with experience of children with autistic spectrum disorder diagnoses, be glad you you weren't looking for a diagnosis in the 60s in the US. I came across a particular researcher by the name of Bettelheim with two memorable quotes:
"Autism is due to the parents wishing their child was dead"
"Autism is mainly a problem of upper middle class white families"
Good to know things have moved on a tad from there

and I've just seen I got my credit transfer of 75pts for my existing degree. So by end of this year I could have my second degree! Woo!
Or as my boss put it, seeing as my first degree is in Computer Science, I'll have a proper degree
Of course, I could also mess it up and withdraw from all social interaction as a failure. But let's hope, eh?
