I've just realised it is thursday and not wednesday, which is a bit weird as I'm sure yesterday was tuesday - although I can't quite remember when monday was.
Never could get the hang etc etc.
I seem to have lost a day again, I wonder where it went?

I hate my unpaid holidays..It's the only part I regret about being a supply teacher and therefore I have to keep a close eye on the dates so I can make sure I have enough money left, not too much month left instead.

I think you'll find it is (was) Thursday young Penguin. The Thingites might have poisoned your young mind but beware angering Thor for his hammer is mighty and he's a lot scarier than Clive.
The silliest thing about getting the days mixed up was when I went home on wed night (tues night to me ) I noticed everyone had put their bins out (collection is thurs morning for me) and wondered why they had put them out a day early. Didn't bother me as I only need to put my bins out every other time.
Incog. - aren't there any sort of educational summer groups for kids round your way you could work for or something?

Bins are a good monitor for me too. Once I waited for my neighbour to put his bin out, and he forgot
I always depend on them for whichever recycling week it is too

yes, although I do have the calendar up on the notice book it is usually when I walk home the night before that I am reminded.
Especially as they are digging our road up (till October!!) so the bin collection has been moved to 6.15am!

I think you'll find the hammer is mightier than the spork.

But it's Friday now!
It sometimes takes me a while to surface in the mornings & remember what day it is. Very annoying if I wake early & then realise I don't have to get up yet. No holiday for me this Summer but without my usual organised leisure activities taking place, may 'days off get a bit blurred. perhaps that's all the extra wine we're drinking with younger son at home

although it isn't going well, just sent an email to someone at work called Adrian asking for their advice and realised after hitting send I had started it with:

Yes but they like to employ students and pay them peanuts.Besides which the ones for the juniors are rather too much running around for this old bird and the secondary ones are all sports and require a sports specialist.
They don't seem to do much in the arts and crafts line round here. That I could specialise in.

Isn't that a shame!
We used to have one round here, which I think was fairly popular. After all not all kids like sporting activities. I suppose people expect to be outdoors in the Summer holidays though.

Kids round are way are quite into arts and crafts if the walls they lean on and the interesting smelling paper art they smoke are anything to go by!

Anyway in my experience most teenagers don't want to join in doing anything organised.Mine didn't and made it quite clear they didn't.
