Trap 2-Day of Davros
Raspy Posted Nov 9, 2002
Davros sat alone in his underground bunker on Kanderaan. The Rani had failed in her mission and The doctor had escaped, but he had survived and it was only a minor setback, soon revenge would be at hand and the doctor and the daleks would pay.
soon. Very soon...
Davros looked on a viewer watching the dalek shuttle containing the doctor his companions and the Rani head back to Earth.
He turned to a window and observed the largest army ever assembled, an army of his own Davrites.
Soon they would attack earth and conquer it, revenge would be at hand.
soon. very soon.
The shuttle had entered Earth's atmosphere and the Doctor was piloting it smoothly over the British country side.
"Where exactly are we on Earth Doctor?" asked the Brigadier from his seat. The Doctor checked one of the screens.
"Wales I think, near Cardiff"
"Went to Wales on holiday once, it rained" scoffed Bambera from her chair.
"No need to be so negative about the whole thing Bambera, I once visited a holiday camp here. A most pleasant experience. Oh by the way" smiled the Doctor, "hang on"
"Why?" asked Ace. There was an enormous thud and the shuttle came to a shuddering holt, ploughing a deep ditch in the ground.
"That's why" replied the Doctor, unbuckling his seat belt and opening the exit ramp.
Davros watched his Davrite army enter landing crafts and head for earth.
Davros, through some sort of machine had changed his usual black tunic to a gold one, he rarely cared of such things but this was a day of victory, maybe it would be good to look ones best. The silver bumps on his chair had been changed for gold ones. Davros moved out of his command post and into a shuttle. Very soon now doctor...very soon.
Bambera did up the last of the knots that secured the Rani to the piping and stepped out of the shuttle craft and onto the grass outside.
"Doctor" she called "When you said "near Cardiff", I think you actually meant in the centre of Cardiff" She spread her arms in a wide arc to emphasise the fact that they were standing in the middle of the Millennium Stadium.
"Slight miscalculation on my part" apologised the Time Lord.
"Oih!" called Ace from the touch line. She was pointing at the sky above the stadium. They followed her gaze to the thousands of ships that were slowly descending on the city.
"Quick" shouted the Doctor, "If memory serves me right then the roof of this stadium can be closed"
"Yes but unfortunately it takes half an hour" the Brigadier pointed out.
"Oh shame" Bambera sighed. Without warning there was a crash from behind them and they swung around to see that the first landing craft had arrived and the hatch in the side was sliding open.
The hatch gave a loud clang as it opened The first of the horrific Davrites came out oozing slime and surveying the surroundings.
millions of Davrites came out of the landing crafts and advanced through the cities.
Davros finally emerged on a hoverdisk with a Davrite piloting it and zoomed over the city with a big smile on his face adjusting his tunic with one hand.
Davros lent forwards and flicked a switch on his control panel. A small screen slid up and lit up, revealing the slimy face of the Davrite commander. The Davrite commander resembled a usual Davrite except that it had pale blue skin and two extra arms. "You have something to report Davrite commander?" Davros asked his second in command. The Davrite nodded.
"We have detected enemy forces in the area Davros" hissed the creature, barely moving its lips. Another specialty of the Davrite commander was that it was the only Davrite that Davros had given the ability to talk.
"The humans are of no importance" snapped Davros,
"The force is not human Davros"
"Then what is it?"
"It appears that a time ship of some form is materializing" Davros raised his head as a groaning noise filled the air and a large, black ship appeared above the city.
*****
"We have materialized Supreme Dalek" smiled the Master,
"In what form?" asked the black and white Dalek,
"A very imposing one"
The Supreme Dalek and his right hand man the master emerged from the time machine on a hoverdisk with shields to protect them thousands of other hover disks emerged after them.
Davros was furious.
"Interference... blast eliminate them!" Davros shouted to the Davrite commander.
"I obey"
Suddenly thousands of Dalek ships appeared in orbit of Earth. each took up a specific position around a continent.
The supreme Dalek watched as dalek landing crafts descended on the city and Davrites and Earth soldiers battled.
"Deploy special weapons daleks and spider daleks" he ordered.
The Master bowed.
"As you wish my master" he pressed a control and the landing crafts received the order.
Major Hinchcliffe led the way through the streets of Cardiff.
"Right, I want a mortar set up here to deal with any ground troops!" shouted the burly Welshman. In an instant a mortar was being set upright next to him. He turned to look down the street and realised, in horror, that a squadron of fifty or so Daleks were zooming towards them. "Fire!" Shots erupted from rifles and machine guns all around him, destroying one Dalek almost instantly. The Daleks however were quickly firing back, and he was loosing men to quickly. "For God's sake, get that mortar working!"
*****
"Calling all craft, calling all craft, fifty or so enemy craft on left flank" called wing commander Aled Richards. As one the whole of his squadron banked towards the enemies, peppering them with machine gun fire.
"Sir" crackled the voice of one of the pilots through the com-link, "their not all the same"
"What?"
*****
"What's that?" asked Ace, tilting her head to listen to the gunfire.
"The cavalry" replied the Doctor.
The Doctor turned sharply to the Brigadier who was in a state of shock.
"Brigadier, your men will never be able to fight off those Daleks." he said.
"Professor, there not all Daleks" said Ace.
They turned to see two Davrites approaching them.
"Good grief!" exclaimed the brigadier.
The first Davrite raised a gun and fired a laser blast at the doctor.
he dived for cover.
suddenly a grating voice was heard.
"Doctor so nice to see you again."
the voice was that of Davros on his hoverdisk.
"Davros...I should have known" the doctor breathed.
The two Davrites grabbed the doctor, ace the brigadier and Bambera and walked them to a landing craft.
shortly after Davros' hoverdisk landed and he glided up to the doctor.
"Davros" the doctor said.
"Doctor" Davros said.
"as you can see doctor I have created a new and more brilliant race than the daleks, soon my Davrites will conquer this planet and destroy the daleks who oppose me, Nothing in the galaxy can stop me Now!"
The doctor glared at him but in a way he knew he was right.
Davros turned to one of the Davrites, "The Doctor and his friends are no longer of any importance, kill them" The Davrite nodded and turned to the Doctor, raising his laser pistol. As the Davrites slimy finger tightened on the trigger a shot rang out from around them. The Davrite stood stock still for a moment before toppling forwards, revealing its killer. Framed in the hatchway of the shuttle craft was the Rani, the Brigadier's pistol clutched tightly in one hand.
"We had a deal Davros!" she spat, "We would share power!" Davros chuckled to himself,
"But Rani I did not expect you to share power so why should I? After all you are little more than a clone!" A look of disbelief crossed the Rani's face.
"What?"
"You are not the Rani! She was the first to be killed by my Davrite force when they were still in testing! You are a clone of her! A duplicate to do my bidding!"
"Wrong again Davros" came a chuckling, female voice from behind them. They turned as one to face the real Rani, surrounded by red and gold Daleks. "Your Davrites did not kill me! When they came for me I merely infected them with the same virus as I did the Daleks! The Davrites and the Daleks are under my control! I have the greatest force in the universe! Davrites, Davros has out lived his purpose, exterminate him" The Davrites slowly turned to face their creator and advanced hands out stretched,
"Its the Daleks all over again" the Doctor whispered to Ace.
Davros backed away moving towards the Doctor and the others.
"Any ideas!" Davros said panicking.
The Doctor nodded at Ace who took out the electronic device that she had used to escape the daleks cell. she pressed it and a loud noise seemed to stun the daleks and the Davrites.
Davros seeing his chance immediately glided from the room to his hoverdisk followed by the doctor and the others who climbed on to the hoverdisk with him.
"What are you doing!" Davros shouted.
The Doctor engaged the controls and the hoverdisk shot away.
The Supreme Dalek was in a state of shock Daleks who were being controlled by The Rani were turning against his own Daleks and the Davrites were now fighting amongst themselves too and as if that weren’t enough the u.n.i.t soldiers were attacking both sides.
The Master stepped up to him.
"I think we should leave." he said.
"Agreed, we will lay waste to the planet with our kill cruisers" the supreme Dalek said.
The hoverdisk re-entered the Dalek time machine and they returned to the kill cruiser in space.
The supreme Dalek The Master and A red Dalek emerged and walked to the bridge.
"All kill cruisers open fire on the planet destroy everything" the supreme Dalek ordered.
The Dalek kill cruisers opened fire, thousands of energy weapons were released hitting Earth the explosions could be seen even from space. The master smiled in satisfaction.
Across the globe people panicked as energy shots pummelled the ground, spreading death and destruction where ever they hit. In France entire crop fields were turned to ash, in Scotland lochs were vaporised.
*****
"What kind of insanity is this?!" bellowed the Doctor at Davros, watching as a purple energy beam streaked through the air and wiped out a mob of Davrites and the Daleks that they were fighting,
"Not insanity Doctor" Davros assured his old enemy, "merely the logical course of life. the Daleks will wipe out the humans, then the Davrites will eliminate the Daleks, leading to new and prosperous world with me as their head!"
"YOU MEAN A DICTATORSHIP!" the Doctor finally lost it and swung the hover disk around towards the nearest Dalek landing ship.
"What on Earth is going on?" asked Bambera from the side of the disk,
"We're going to get onto that Dalek mother ship and try and put an end to this madness" the Doctor promised.
When the blast hit the hoverdisk everyone when flying in different directions. The doctor stood up to find himself face to eyestalk with a Dalek.
EXCTERMANTE!!!!
*****
U.N.I.T was being pushed back, no matter how many Daleks and Davrites they killed more seemed to pop up pushing them back, and now some U.N.I.T men were opening fire on they're own comrades.
“Sir” said Benton. “the Dalek and our own forces that are helping them are just about to come down the street.”
“Is everything ready for them?” asked Yates
“Yes sir, we have mortar men on the roofs of every building, men with armour shattering bullets on the first floor, and the surprise is ready.”
“Good that will fix them.” said Yates proudly. “after all it was his ideal.”
“I just hope it works” said Benton “ or we're dead.”
The Supreme Dalek watched from the viewscreen on the bridge as it showed images of Earth exploding. The Master stood a few paces behind as a Red Dalek glided up to him.
"Long range scanners indicate that A Davrite force is headed for Skaro."
"WHAT!" the master exclaimed he turned to the supreme Dalek.
"We must return to Skaro at once" he said.
"We must win the battle here if we fail then Earth and the Davrites will still be permanent threats to the Dalek empire" the supreme dalek said.
"But we called away the fleet, the planet is defenceless."
"We will not lose this battle, if you dispute with me again you will be exterminated!" the supreme Dalek roared.
The Master turned away.
"Open fire again" he said. and another barrage of energy weapons fired on Earth.
The Doctor stared at the dalek, this is it, he thought, the end.
Suddenly a blast of energy hit the Dalek and the Davrite commander stepped up to Davros.
"Davros, our forces have been split in two." it said.
"Order all your forces still loyal to me to concentrate their fire on the largest landing craft, the Rani will be there." Davros ordered it.
"I obey" it said and it walked off.
The Doctor got to his feet and walked over to the others including Davros.
"Brigadier, find your men and tell them to concentrate all fire on the Daleks."
"Right Doctor." the brigadier said and he ran off.
"Ace, Bambera... Davros I need your help." The Doctor said.
"WHAT ME!" Davros exclaimed.
"I need you to help me take out that Dalek mother ship." The Doctor told him.
"NO, I will never help you." Davros spat out.
The Doctor grabbed his chair and stared him in the face. "Think about it, you’ve lost, your Davrites will be wiped out, this is your chance to get revenge on the Daleks, they’ve brought you nothing but misery!" The Doctor told him.
Davros considered . "Very well, lets go" he said finally.
They entered a landing craft and Davros ordered his Davrites to take it to the Mother ship.
The Supreme Dalek was in the power generator room on-board the command ship. The room had a large deep shaft in the centre of it with electricity sparks flying at the bottom and the occasional lightening bolt ricocheting of the sides.
The Supreme Dalek turned as he heard the footsteps of the Master entering the generator room. "You have news" said the Supreme Dalek, it was clearly not a question. The Master merely shook his head and chuckled, "I'm afraid that your inane assumptions are wrong. This is merely the part where our deal ceases" He removed the tissue compression eliminator from his pocket and pointed it at the Dalek, "You know that you really shouldn't stand near big pits don't you?"
"And so should you" growled a tough, female voice from behind him. He spun on his heel, just in time to be kicked hard in the face by Brigadier Bambera. The Master toppled backwards into the shaft, his body was racked by lightning as he fell.
"Is he dead?" asked Ace as she, the Doctor and the other Brigadier stepped forwards,
"I shouldn't think so in the least" the Doctor smiled,
"One down, three to go" smiled the Brigadier, raising his pistol and placing it against the Supreme Dalek's dome.
The Doctor walked up to The Supreme Dalek and stared at him.
"Call off your ships and we will let you escape." he said.
"Never, even if you destroy me a new clone will be activated, you are doomed"
The Supreme Dalek snapped.
The Supreme Dalek fired at Bambera and she was engulfed in a blue glow and fell to the ground. The Brigadier struck back at the Supreme Dalek pushing down the dark shaft, the screams of the Dalek could still be heard as he tumbled to his death.
"Unknown objects in generator shaft" warned one of the Daleks on the bridge of the mother ship,
"Generator destabilised!" another Dalek said,
"Abandon ship!" ordered the Red Dalek.
*****
The Brigadier picked up Bambera's body and followed the others out of the generator room as alarms went off around them. When their shuttle was away The Doctor watched as The Dalek mother ship spun out of control and collided with several other ships. Explosions sounded as other dalek fighters scrambled for cover, The Dalek ships began to retreat.
Davros sat in the cockpit of the shuttle with a smile on his face as he watched the Dalek ships explode.
The Doctor the Brigadier and Ace were full of sadness as they stared at Bambera’s lifeless body, another death at the hands of the Daleks.
"Did it work then?" asked Bambera from the shadows of the shuttle. As one they spun to face Bambera as she stepped from the corner smiling. "But, how?" asked Ace in astonishment,
"When we got on board the mother ship, the Rani's agents grabbed me and replaced me with a clone whilst the rest of you weren't looking. The clone was supposed to kill you but didn't get the chance by the looks of it. I managed to escape once the Daleks were evacuating and got back to the shuttle just before you!"
"If The Rani's agents were onboard the mother ship then that means that the Rani is gaining control of their fleet!" The Doctor said.
He looked out the window to see the Dalek ships turning on one another and exploding. This is chaos... he thought
"Order all of our forces to commence attack on The Rani's forces!" Davros said to the Davrite commander and the commander did so.
The ships turned on one another and explosions engulfed the smaller ships, it was chaos.
The Rani watched from her personal ship.
"Ready my shuttle and signal a retreat" she ordered.
The Dalek ships were taking heavy fire, since the loss of the Supreme Dalek they had gotten no orders and now everything was disintegrating around them. Just out of orbit of Skaro the Davrite fleet arrived. it opened fire the energy blasts laid waste to the dalek cities, the dalek fleet had been destroyed the ships that remained had not been able to stop the attack and had been blown to pieces. Suddenly a giant fleet emerged from space, it was the fleet of the Thals, the Davrite fleet was soon wiped out the Thals then opened fire on Skaro. On Skaro the Thal onslaught continued the dalek cities were being blown to pieces and communication were down, no reinforcements could be called for. A large statue of the supreme dalek fell down and smashed through the command tower the final blow had been dealt, the daleks were dead...
*****
The Rani sat in her personal shuttle having just heard the news of the defeat at Skaro, she was furious suddenly a blast hit her shuttle and it exploded.
The real Rani was in her Tardis with the doctor and Davros believing she was dead she was free to concoct a new plan and this time revenge would be at hand...
The battle was over the Dalek and Davrite ships all destroyed.
The shuttle landed on Earth and The Doctor, Ace, Bambera the Brigadier and Davros emerged.
"Well Doctor, we did it." said the Brigadier triumphantly.
"Yes, but at a great cost." said the Doctor.
Davros slowly backed away retreating to his shuttle.
"Doctor what about the Daleks?" asked Ace.
"I shouldn’t think they will bother Earth again, not for a few thousand years anyway." The Doctor smiled.
Davros thought he had his escape in the bag when he heard a rifle being loaded at his head. He turned his chair to face Seargent Benton.
"Sir." Benton said pleased.
The Brigadier turned around as did the others.
"Well, well Davros going somewhere?" The Doctor said.
Davros gave them a glare as more soldiers approached.
"Take him away, and make sure he is put somewhere where he cant get out." the Brigadier ordered.
Davros moved toward the Doctor.
"You have not heard the last of me, i shall return." he said.
The Doctor smiled.
"I don’t doubt it."
The soldiers escorted Davros away. The Doctor turned to Ace and smiled.
"Shall we go, I think I need a rest." the Doctor said.
"Yes." said Ace "why not."
"Goodbye Doctor." said the Brigadier.
"Goodbye." said Bambera.
The Doctor and Ace walked to the Tardis leaving Earth behind.
****
Davros was in the cell he had been given, despite his best efforts he had not been able to escape, but one day he would. revenge would be at hand soon enough...
The Doctor and Ace were in the Tardis Ace looked on the scanner to see sergeant Benton running up to them.
"Doctor, its the sergeant." Ace told him.
"Oh?" the Doctor said and he opened the doors as Benton came in.
"Doc, the Brigadier wants you to come to a celebration everyone’s going to be there." he said out of breath.
"Can we?" Ace asked impatiently.
"Why not." the Doctor said.
The next day millions of people were gathered in the streets of London, at a raised platform outside Buckingham palace various delegates from the united nations stood smiling, The Doctor , Ace, The brigadier, Benton, Yates and Bambera stood each of them wearing medals awarded to them after their heroic efforts in the battle to save Earth. to one side of them guarded by at least ten unit soldiers with machine guns was Davros who glared out at the crowd glancing around. he too had been awarded a medal for helping to destroy the Dalek fleet, his Davrites had been destroyed and his base on Kanderaan was no doubt destroyed too. none the less he was glad he was alive. The Doctor walked up behind him.
"Do cheer up, I got you a medal." The Doctor said knowing how much Davros hated all this.
Davros glared at him as boxes of confetti were being thrown.
The Doctor smiled and the crowd rejoiced. Earth had been saved.
****
On Skaro the Thal fleet had been driven away. Daleks were rebuilding the city. In the new Dalek central command a new clone of the Supreme Dalek was placed in a black and white casing. When it was lowered the Supreme Dalek glided forward turning to its red aide.
"Repairs to our city will start immediately, we shall strike back and destroy our enemies."
The Supreme Dalek glided over to a map of the universe.
"First we shall eliminate the Galactic Federation, is the traitor prepared." The supreme Dalek asked.
"He is." his aide answered.
"Good soon we shall strike back this is only a minor setback, The Daleks will conquer the universe!"
THE END.
