let's sum it up with 'The United States of the Offended' (yes, i am american so i can say that and not upset myself and feel it needs to be moderated). i live here but have noticed too many times where we want everyone to think and act just like us, we want to control everything everyone else does...funny thing though, as soon as the rules/laws/whatever you want to call them get in the way of the ones screaming for these things then suddenly they are up in arms about how it is invading their freedom.
don't even get me started on the three strikes you're out program our government has started. prison overpopulation will continue to grow and at this rate it shouldn't be long before their isn't anyone in the US who is not in prison.

I apologise for my rant, earlier. For my Entry on cannabis, I was looking at the prohibition of it, and it just got me worked up However, I do find what is happening over there frightening - even more so than what is happening here (jury trial being avoided for some crimes, more power to the police, etc.), though not much more At least you have your bit in the Constitution that you are allowed to bear arms (even against your govt - isn't that how it goes), but the War on Drugs is madness, madness I tell you Until later....

you don't need to apologize for your earlier rant...that is something i always enjoyed about this site, being able to express opinions and rant from time to time . i just hope the moderators don't do away with them because i would miss the debates and discussions...

I agree with you Crescent! Which is why I had to push the envelope. It's a subject I have VERY strong feelings about.
The "drug-war" is the driving force behind the new slavery. As is validated by history, groups at the bottom of the social ladder have always been the one's most willing to take the risks involved in a black-market (and it's attendant complications, such as the need for the dealer to protect his own property with deadly force, since you can't call the cops if someone just ripped you off for an oz of boy)- and at this point in history it's primarily black men.
When the s**t was all legal, people tended to use less potent forms of the drug (like coca-cola?).
It's all a crock of s**t!
