Ho hum; tiddly pum. The French seeemto have adopted the worst aspects of EU Hospital policy.

ON 31 July at 2.30pm got a letter informing me to go for pre-op anasthesia test on 7 July & if this was semi reasonable, they can do some of the tests there & then. Sounds sensible to me, though not impressed with arriving at 7.30am! Nor no food, drink, smoking, "hard physical work" or "emotional stress for 6 hrs previous" (hands up who could do that. Oh; can't use the loo either.)

Meanwhile, Bou arrives at midnight & says "let's get the place sorted now" & much is the heaving, groaning, physical work, exposure to dust, stairs etc; plus i have Very Blue Hands. (Obviously one works on painting & creative cushion dyeing simultaneously)"oh, & can you make some cauliflower soup for later please?"?Of course i can, it's all part of the service dear. We fit in shopping,(yeah, i know, but even if i'm "offficially "labelled "anorexic"; he isn't) so there's actually something to make soup out of & get to bed around 9am.

So: Bou after much nagging, phones yesterday to check it's still all on. Screams "if you hurt this woman, your hospital is a heap of rubble!" which wouldn't actually be my approach. He informs me they've changed date & it's now on for this morning in around an hours time.....taxis don't start tilll 9am. Plus he has some sort of Family Crisis to attend to, so he disappears & switches phone off.

I phone Hospital & get told "no idea." Plus lost some vital bits of paper from 56 page dossier when they blew all over the road at the Eye Doc, it's Sunday, "we don't access records on Sundays"

Oh, also "we don't do this sort of procedure if you have any sort of respiritory problem"....which seeems to ensure a fairly quiet life for lung doctors!

6.30am here, i'm so thirsty i could drain a beer tank & no idea what's going on at all.

Sorrry about email backlog; it suddenly decided to remember around 100 adddresses tonight!
