How are things with you? I've sent you a reply to your e-mail... did it get through all right? I was unsure as the address you gave me, and the one you replied for are different - which should I be using?

Tony and Chan-Mick are having a right old natter (as only boys can) about their shared memories of SW London and punk gigs... bless them.

Sorry to get you so involved in that insults thing. Still the good news is that it is all resolved now and T'mershi has even apologised publically on the thread so all is now calm It appears that english is not his first language (I don't know what is though) and he though I was mocking foreigners... how the hell would I know he is not english though I'm unsure. There is only a glass on his personal space, but we have come to an understanding now so that is the main thing.

Have you had a good weekend? How are preparations for Christmas? I saaw somewhere that you were making door wreaths and were either going to sell them or give them to nice people - what a lovely idea!

I wish I were so altruistic, still money's too tight to mention (to use a simply red lyric... eugh!) for me to be that nice, but chum (and ex-colleague has mentioned that she wants me on the team for a large project she is working on in the new year, so fingers crossed it all comes off. By the way, what was yuo e-mail scheme for editors...perhaps you could e-mail and let me know - I am intrigued

Sorry, I'm not normally bitchy, but I've been being nice all day!

The e-mails: We seem to have 3, but the safest one to use is the one beginning with a "t" (ie his proper name) the other two should work, but our ISP is showering us with wonderful special offers, some of which include new e-mail names of our choice! The latest deal is that we got a new modem in the post (8am; but that's another story) but we can't use it till Jan9th then we'll be on broadband!
All this niceness on their part is due to our pointing out that their computer had made a massive cock-up in our favour!(see my bedtime story to Abbi in the Dorm for more details.)

It's been busy busy here, I'll give you a brief rundown so you don't have to untangle a load of posts

1: Moose has been sick (the dreaded cold) but she seems to be better now.
2: I've had it too, but M had it a lot worse than me, poor thing.
3: Moose & I have both been made Aces!!!! (who's next, you or Abbi or both?!)
4: Yes, thank goodness, the yikesit with our friend T'd has died down, but there's now a new scandal! There was an excellent article on the Front page about M.E; the 1st comment on it was distnctly unpleasant, others who responded either had M.E or knew someone who did & needless to say things got "rather heated"! Someone (not me!) yiked, someone else suggested he went on to your favourite thread where he could play nice games etc etc.
Turns out he's got Parkinsons & is feeling miffed 'cos his illness is nastier than our sort(!) "newbie Ace T steps in & somehow (through rather clenched teeth) seems to have persuaded him that we're all fighting on the same side.I even told him to go & lurk on De My Nat while I checked out the www for Parkinsons! Yet to see what the latest is (see "Really" thread on my convo's, Abbi's got the no. of the original article.
Anyway, resulted in some good publicity for the cause & at least 1 new member!

Weekend?? wots dat?? Oh yes, I seem to remember Sunday was pretty bloodyhorrendous due to me being out in the cold & the nerve endings protesting VERY loudly. I did a real good whinge about it, hopefully in the right place ie the Struggle Chamber of Horrors.Not pretty reading, but it seems to have settled down again now.Touch wood!

Moose has got huge problems, allergy list a mile long,poor kid. We're trying to find SOMETHING nice she can eat(see Family &friends)

We've got the heap big money probs too! Despite M now being paid a proper (but still part time) salary; rather than per book. We'd totally under-estimated how much tax would come off & this month at least we're having to choose between paying the rent, phone bill or a loan from a friend. Think the last 2 have won out, we'll just have to keep plodding on. Xmas is going to be almost entirely home-made, all very altruistic but....Ah well, it's good for my soul i suppose.

Re: the money making scheme, yes, it's not original, not going to win any booker prizes & will require both of us putting our heads together & getting organised. but yes I reckon we couldget something to keep the wolf from the door!
