Hi, bbf, that was a short 'goodbye'. I expect I'll pop in from time to time. My Spanish has somewhat deteriorated recently so I must do more homework or teacher will get annoyed.
Let me know how you get on with Elaine Pagels, although even she admits that 'The Gnostic Gospels' barely scratches the surface and her later books are more important.
Look forward to further chat. Must try and get blue into one.
hasta luego

Evening O_L
Sorry about the delayed reply. As there is still 'no fair' wind for Troy' the SO and I have been on a extended run on the 'boxer'.
Spanish. My German goes a bit rusty when I'm not in Hamburg but I might be a bit luckier than you in that it was my working language for a good few years.
Pagels: Will do. My problem is an ever growing reading list irrespective of how much I work to reduce it.
Blue: he's still around though mostly active on the R&E boards:

Not sure h2g2 Message Centre is best adapted for structured discussions - no quote boxes, etc.
You could always contact him a start a topic on one of the R&E boards. I thought of doing so on mysticism
Further chat.: Me to

Hi bbf,
Been inactive recently. These boards aren't as much fun as the old Today MB. Still, nothing we can do. TRTP is a great book. Maybe Gordon should read it again.
Plenty of topics around worth debating. The current crisis Freidman style, for example. The 'great market forces will decide' experiment is imploding. We'll all suffer the fall-out.
I did tell them..............

Pretty much AFK myself at moment.
h2g2 messaging isn't really a substitute for TMB. More an area where you can initiate one to one or small group conversations.
A lot of people have migrated to the 5Live board and Points of View. I dont think I am that interested.

I missed TRTP but I had read it years ago
Friedman: The odd thing is that the fans of monetarism and free markets seem to be in denial about the inevitable consequences of that worldview.

Hiya bbf,
Tried Five Live MB. I put a reply on the Polyclinics thread over an hour ago and it still hasn't appeared. I may give it all up here.
Does CNN have a MB?
Big problems in Spain right now with fuel.

Morning O_L
give up: The policy of putting people into premod each time they join a new board seems a bit daft.
I upset a host on the POV board so I am back in premod everywhere.
rg has pointed out that the debates on 5 seem very short.
fuel: There is a strike by tanker drivers here. Even those not involved seem to be respecting the picket lines.
Travelling to Edinburgh to buy a new boxer.
