New to me. I may be late in discovering this treat..
avacado and papaya salsa
1 *Firm but ripe papaya
1 *firm avacado (ripe)
bit of onion
bit of celery
med tomatoe
small glove of garlic
a healthy squirt of lime juice ( I have used a spoonful of nearly frozen limeade in a pinch)
tad of fresh cilantro
It's very colorful!
* to me it's Important to have firm for appearance , texture.
You can mash it more like quacamole , way different texture.
The balance has more avacado than papaya. Average size of each works.
There are lots of substitutes you can do! Diferent added fruits or berries.

I have found the avacado/papaya/lime juice
to be heavenly all by itself. I could drink it , I may play with that idea
I have added many other things/left out many other things and it's always good.
I had never thought of papaya and avacado going together.
The papaya is so sweet you can go very hot with the jalepeno peppers.
It was recomended as a garnish for fish, which is tasty.

My favourite type of avocado is the black rough skinned type and I have heard that it is very good in keeping your complexion supple and soft and that papaya is good aid for digestion. I think I may try as a starter for my Christmas lunch.
