I know 3 people whom have never voted for anyone but a Republican for President, including Bush the last round ,they are definitely NOT voting for him this time!

The Republicans above say it is ridiculous to talk of lowering taxes.
They are mostly concerned with Iraq and our US economy.

Lets hope there are many more!

The undecideds I know were leaning R but now are waiting for the debates to decide if Kerry is better prepared to problem solve.

PLEASE do well Kerry!

a member of local goverment offical in holiday place were asking all 18plus workers sign temporaly move to the holiday island and he also asked them to sign voting card over to him. because most forget that they did he could use all the voter cards for his own party.

as I can tell the story he was got for this voting scandal.

The President just had a press conference with the leader of Iraq.
When asked about whether we are safer now (NBC news)he said anyone that thinks we should have let Saddam stay is just plain wrong and endangering our safety by talking about such things and not consistently supporting the troops.
We are safer by fighting it there. America is safe , Iraq is not.
Standard answer to tough questions!*sigh*

The Iraq President said 12 out of 15 areas are safe and the elections will take place as scheduled.

The Iraq President - we need money for infrastructure.

Says Bush; the generals need more soldiers, we'll give them what they ask for to get the job done!

Then the Iraq President says we do NOT need more of your soldiers,we need money to train our own!

It is an article about the reports of violence in Iraq being suppressed by the US.

Cheney insinuated that Edwards disrespected or demeaned the loss of Iraqi lives in the fighting. I have not heard the Pres or VP mention them once and certainly no totals are given this whole time! They usually refer to them as soldiers not innocents being killed and injured. Us reports are saying the US is hitting intended targets, rarely innocents but the film footage says otherwise

A speech by Prime Minister of Iraq (EEK not a prez as stated) in and about the progress towards democracy. It was not as rosey as the administrations coached version of the speech he gave in the US a few days before.

The Iraqi people often *say* the fighters are from outside Iraq.
This is just as the US has speculated makes it an expected a magnet for the terrorists to gather round ( fight there not in US philosophy)
BUT there are rumblings about them not being other people from other places..
Do the terrorists really have a need to go to Iraq ?
I am sure their money is needed BUT Am I missing some point of rational thought on this?

There have been talking about the elections happening whether all areas of Iraq vote or not.
The the relatively few areas ( 3 out of 15 they say = estimate) exclude a large mass of the populace. Predominately a majority within one culture/religion which likely divides all into thirds.

Hmm not enough photo opportunities to even fake pockets of progress? President says there are only unfair portrayl of the pockets of fighting?

Oh come on! Surely Some photo journalists would notice positive signs of progress or happy faces and record them

Some of the half that will vote again are not happy about the decisions but are afraid GWB may be the only one able to clean it up

If GWB does not admit it is a mess there is no hope.
Kerry offers new hope, at least he will care if he has a plan for the goal.

I think GWB people plan to continue pre-emptive interventions and a mode of less a patience. That is terrifying to me. It may be keeping the fighting there but not the consequences. Consequences are something GWB has not thought much about and typical of immature people.

The Republicans and Dems are talking about ;
insured vs uninsured , employed vs unemployed.

The real crisis is at the level of under employed and under insured base of middle class families.
Too many have lost premium jobs ,pensions and insurance.
A large portion of insured and employed people have no medication coverage! Medication is the first line of treatment so this is absurd.

It is NOT a matter of people out of work and insurance and savings it is that they are barely hanging on waiting for things to improve. I am not sure that they will improve if we do not create industry rather than move it.

one thing of both parties forget on president debate
in war there are no winners.

both Kerry and Bush did not show much respect for Iraki people talking about winning the Iraqi war, because a lot Iraqis feel that they forced into things they are not ready for. one if the US president with UN behind started by showing different sized of the US. I think if UN would have started giving aid to Iraqis Sadam was probillychsed away withom a year. another result would have been powerfull that wood on fire for terrorists, because a lot of inoncents would not be hurt and money could have been used to rebuild an powerfull ally in war against terror.

I know, my utopia is dream, but there plenty of example where the people of country were tired of tirany of their leaders and won their battle.

I did note that he had extra equipment (maybe a vest) under his jacket and wondered why the microphone (appeared to be standard TV one at waist) was needed at his waist if he had one at the podium.

I also noticed the "wait let me finish...."
when he had plenty of time left to answer the question because the light was still very green - normally proceeds to yellow then red.

I would not doubt it but have not seen that particular article.
I thought that before when watching him and they do not allow him ot do many press conferences. It has been obvious in some cases the questions and reporters were known ahead of time.

It would explain a lot of he was expecting answers and the equipment was not working! Using the same slogans from the few speeches he has made seemed to be a lazy reliance on a few simple rules. I did wonder if he sleeps with a recording of them going, they were so automatic.

The next debate is on domestic issues so we will hear;
Expecting the economy to improve in the near future ( waiting with teh middle class)
We have given many millions a prescription benefit(wrong)
The jobs are increasing ( not good ones)
The economy is growing due to the tax cuts (not)

It IS NOT the uninsured and unemployeed that is the bulk of the problem.
It is the under employeed and the under insured middle class.
Can that change?
