h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Quite a disturbing one this time. I did something bad to this couple, and my and someone elses punishment was to be their slave (the other person/ people just kind of drifted around), we had this list of tasks to do - like re panelling their theatre, the theatre was small in front, but behind the curtain it was huge and ornate. (thats two dreams with theatres in unusual places - once underground in the lava pits (title yoyo's why yoyos?)) I tried to run away (Something to do with running in and out of a lift) and they caught me in a playground near my house and said they were going to kill me. I said shoot me in chest because I want my body to be intact, and I knelt down with my arms crossed over my chest (the way they lay out the dead) Then I snatched the gun off her (it was tiny and the trigger was really hard to pull) and shot her repeatedly.




The second part of the dream, was I think the memorable bit after this one continued. I was imprisoned in this shack by a marsh by these people who had already taken what they wanted from me. They threatened to kill me, but they may have not meant it. The shack walls were covered with really disturbing photos of kids who'd been murdered horribly. They didn't make me feel very sad or scared, just disturbed. I broke free and dived into the scummy marsh, they didn't follow but called out stuff like I didn't mean it. The marsh looked scummy from the top, but underneath the water was clear, glowing slightly and light blue. The crust on top made it private, and it was shallow - a couple of times the depth of a bath. I stayed under, and breathing wasn't an issue. Then I woke.

In both the first and second part of the dream, there is a difference between the surface impression of something, and what it is like in reality. The stage looks small and simple, but is large and ornate behind the curtain. The water looks scummy from the surface, but is deep and clear underneath. Perhaps the image of yourself that you project to the world is only a fraction of your real potential. Or the dream may just be a lesson not to judge things superficially.

Did you notice we both had dreams with light blue in them this week?

Don't know what the disturbing photos would pertain too. There has certainly been a lot of news about things like that in the media lately.
