Okay, put my name on the attendees list then... oh, there isn't one... well get one started then!
Carlyon Bay was a nice camp site, but the beach left a lot to be desired. Didn't we talk about Devon beaches? Not so convenient for Eden and Goonhilly (must go there next year!) though, so maybe it will have to be a two-stop meet? Maybe a certain researcher could visit a few more campsites in their travels and find somewhere friendly and with a decent beach? Oh, and we want to have a go at surfing too. Datewise, any outside very expensive and busy school hols sound good. Prefer June to May though, should be warmer. That's about it for now.

Hey Look what I remembered to do!
I'll come! (Attendee's list, yet another good idea Sus)
Stoked! I'm up for that, been looking for some schools (not that I know what I'm looking for particularly) if we can get a few peeps interested, some offer a group lesson cheaper than they otherwise would.
Solstice was good, Peanut is threatening to make me get up to see the sunrise next time (provided you *can* see the sunrise of course). I'd like to go again at that time of year (when is it? - will look in to that...)
I'm with you on the beach thing too, there must be loads of other great campsites about in the area. I'm on that too.
at the ready... Andy

I like! I like! I like! Holywell Bay looks good, and in a great position. Ideal for Bond fans (we can visit the beach and Eden project, as featured in latest film), Newquay is perfect for plus there is a theme park and trekking nearby. (I want to go trekking too!)
The solstice next year (21st June) falls on a Saturday, and I'd be happy to get up to see the sunrise if it's visible! What were we supposed to be dancing naked around again? In fact, I'm up for going for a full week next year. How about the weekend of the 14/15 to the weekend of the 21/22, with the latter being the main 'meet' weekend for those who can't do a full week?

Oh yeah... http://www.parkdean.com/holywell/index.php takes you straight to Holywell's main website. They're currently updating the camping section, so no info on that, but for anyone who might be interested, the holiday homes look good value too. Early discount if you book by the end of January.

you two seem to have it sussed no pun. But in the new year I'll start seriously getting it all planned from this end, but all your suggestions sound cool.

I love it when a plan comes together!
The sooner we set a date the better the chance there is that I can get that week off. Before everyone else at work tries for the same time, I'll get it in the diary before I get my 1st batch of leave. It's mine!!
Think I can probably manage a whole week, cant think of anything else I'd rather do, nor anyone else I'd rather do it with. Those dates look good to me, but do we really want to try driving home directly after the solstice weekend?
Hm, really must get driving tests & car sorted before June...
I refuse to be a part of/watch the naked dancing! I'll keep watch on the BBQ, wouldn't want any nasty accidents near them would we?

all sounds fun to me!
I'll be around most of that week I think - since it'll be before I head Africa-wards. So I'll just see how often I can nick the car, and come camp the last w/e!

Dependent upon the date, I'm interested. Sounds good to me. I like the sound of Eden - I've still never been.
