ah.... bench marks

bench marks are quite boring. but everyone knows that. but what you may not know is that bench marks means going back to a block scheduel for 2 days. which is pretty cool. dsa decided to go to a striped scheduel, but it sucks, and my mom says i only don't like it because i don't like change. NOT TRUE! i would do anything to change our principal. but anyway, the lit prompt was too boring to have any fun with, like last year when they asked us to write about an invention that has changed the world, and everyone put 'blender'. but this year, we had to read 5 stories, then choose 3 and write about the hardships in each story. one time, for CSAP (colorado student assesment program) our prompt was "write about a lesson you have learned in your life" and one kid put "that you should not keep a taco as a pet". and in my lit class, we had to write a cause and effect essay, on how something will lead to the eventual enlightenment or desruction of humanity. i said "grain silos will lead to the eventual destruction of humanity." that was pretty awesome . i got 99.5/100, but i should have gotten 100/100 because my teacher was being a lame brain and couldn't spell 'we'. she had the word 'we' circled with a little sp above it, and i was like 'wtf?'
everyone finished their reading bench marks quite early, so my friends and i have fun drawing pictures on pieces of paper the teacher gave us, and we had all drawn dinosaurs and sales people and little cartoons all over our paper (i had a dinosaur [drawn by my very good friend Jessa] and a mountain range on mine) when it dawned on us that we might need to use this paper later on. but it wasn't necissary. we got new paper.
