Spent lots of $$ on a new carseat Saturday. Peanut had outgrown the old one. It's some plastic and some foam and some fabric. I know it can't have cost near what we paid in order to make it. Had an informative sales person though. He pointed out that there was one brand (more expensive) that was made by the same company as the cheaper carseat. Only differences were: the fabric pattern, fabric cover had to be handwashed instead of machine washed, and a certain person had put his name on it as a brand. We got the cheaper, machine washable version.
The weather was wretched as well. The area around the store where we bought the seat was so crowded. Mr. Emee's truck started to overheat so we had to drive it around on the highway to get it cooled off. Sounds odd, but it worked. The temp gauge said it was 119F outside. A storm rolled in on our way home so by the time we were home, it was only 74F outside but very humid.

I remember when my oldest was just a little one and I hadn't lost my need for my MGB yet. I specifically installed a seat belt on the back deck so I could put a baby seat back there. It was a thrill for her since she sat just below the roll bar and above our heads but we soon realised it wasn't the safest and resorted to only travelling with her in the trusty old van.
I hope all is well with you and your family.

Peanut would love it. I could rig up a mount that would fit through the sun roof. We're all doing well. Peanut is growing and teething and has forgotten in the last few weeks how to put herself back to sleep.

Count Zed, I fear you are imagining something else. The back deck of an MGB is just behind the front seats, well below the boot/trunk. The cover for the two 6 volt batteries that the *Prince of Darkness* (Mr. Lucas) provided.
Emee consider yourself lucky, we had to deal with complete milk allergies, even Mum's milk.

That would be awful. My uncle was like that. In and out of hospital all the time until he was in his teens. Peanut didn't do well when we switched to formula. She developed eczema . But it's better now that she's on the soy version.
