MIL put a contract on a house over the weekend. She's supposed to close in August. Should give her plenty of time to get her land sold and at least start going through the stuff in her house. I know we're going to have to help her move and I must say I'm not thrilled about it. Oh well. What can you do?
Baby took a couple steps last week but hasn't repeated yet. Instead, she's climbing on everything. At a friend's house on Saturday, she pushed the Igloo cooler around the kitchen and climbed on top of it several times and figured out she could stand up and reach the counter tops. She loves to push her riding toys around the house. When she officially starts walking, she'll be more of a terror than she already is. Her teeth have been bothering her. I'm so glad we taught her to tell us when she hurts. It's saved a lot of frustration. Peanut put her arm in harms way last night and got bitten for her troubles. Not sure what we're going to do about that.
Peanut is planning her future already. She's going to have a boy baby named Bradley and girl baby as yet unnamed. She's going to be a dentist and live in a house on our street. She's also going to college when she turns 4. I don't know what I'm going to do with her. I was the same way though - couldn't wait to grow up.

Was it by a family dog? By "harm's way", was it near a food dish? I was bitten on the butt when I was a little kid by trying to pet the neighbor's dog while it was eating. I'm wiser now. Now I make sure to pet my dogs while they're eating. I also take their bowl away for a few moments and if they're calm about it, they get it back. I'll even reach into their bowl while they're eating and they don't mind because of how I've raised them.
Food aggression is fairly easy to work with. Dogs need to know that every human is boss, even the little ones. How you treat them around the food dish is a quick way to let them know that.
If that's not what you meant, well, never mind.

Peanut was in her car seat right next to Baby's car seat and was messing in sister's personal space way too close to her mouth. Baby got bitten at daycare and has learned that her teeth can be a weapon.

They get so big so fast! I guess Peanut will learn to keep out of Baby's mouth from now on.
