h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I really want to skip class tonight. It isn't for credit. My supervisor doesn't understand the value of the certification I'm trying to get. It's been a stressful day. I'd really like to skip and go to the library and hide out or something. Mr. Emee would NEVER find me there. I could turn off my phone and read my book. Only problem: Mr. Emee & the class instructor are both on the board of the professional society that is offering the certification and if I skip, the instructor, out of genuine concern, will call Mr. Emee to see if I'm okay. I *love* living in the biggest small town in the west. 35,000+ people and everyone knows everyone else's business. On top of that, Mr. Emee is already being a jerk about me and my keys. This morning, I had to call him to come unlock the car so I could get them out of the car's glovebox. I knew exactly where they were. It's not my fault he was an ass an in such a rush to get out of the house. If he had waited another 2.7 seconds for me, I could have told him I needed to get my keys - but no! MUST leave the house NOW. Sometimes I want to smack him.
