Emee, out from under the rock Started conversation Jan 29, 2008
I'm working from home today. Not officially of course. I'll have to write a sick day on my timesheet even though I've sent out purchase orders, entered confirmations and averted a small crisis. The baby was sent home from daycare yesterday with diarrhea. Fun, fun. It's caused by the antibiotics she's been taking. Her tummy seems to be bothering her as well and the daycare people were worried because she wouldn't take a formula bottle. Just to be on the safe side, Mr. Emee took her to the doctor yesterday. She's fine. The doc said it's normal for babies to go off their formula when they're sick but to keep offering bottles with Pedialyte or similar. Still has her ear infection and needs breathing treatments for her congestion, but nothing to worry about on the poopy front except having enough diapers and wipes. So daycare called this morning and said she could come in since the poopies aren't from sickness to speak of. Still, she wasn't feeling well when she woke up. She's usually very happy and full of fat-cheeked smiles so when she cried between bites of yogurt, I knew I should keep her home. I love it. I've done 2 loads of dishes, fed her more yogurt for lunch, fixed chicken & noodles for Mr Emee & myself for lunch, watched the baby play on the floor while I sent emails and faxes from my laptop. It's great. Now all I need is to find an employer who will pay me to work from home.
