Travels with Peanut
Emee, out from under the rock Started conversation Sep 28, 2004
Peanut (still in utero) and I travelled to Kansas this weekend. Mr. Emee is doing just fine - working his butt off. On Saturday he drove trucks to & from the elevators so I couldn't spend much time with him. Climbing into those semis would have been too much. Spent the day with the wife of one of the other farmers & their two kids. Sunday he loaded grain into the bins at the farm since the elevators were all closed. So, I got to see him more that day.
Sunday night I drove to Wichita and met up with my family for dinner. We were all in town for grandpa's early Monday heart catheter operation. He had 95-99% blockage in one of his arteries. The doctors were able to clear it and put in a drug-coated stent to prevent the artery from collapsing. He's due to be released today.
My doctor said no more travel so the next time Peanut and I go somewhere, she'll have to ride in a car seat. Scary and really cool all at the same time.

All the best and best wishes for your family present and accounted for. You know it's best to send them off to boarding school when they're 2 and have them back when they're 25 with a degree, don't you? Just kidding, but as a parent who hasn't stopped worrying about his oldest for 27 years, best of luck and I envy you!

Thank you for all the good wishes. Oh and I plan to lock her in her room and forbid dating when she's about 13. Then she can be allowed out when she's 35. I'm just glad they arrive small and you don't have to start out with them being interested in boys and high risk behaviours.
