h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Juno is my car. She's a 2001 VW Beetle. Her check engine light came on & the shop in town can't fix her. They could, however, read the diagnostic codes - multiple random misfires on all 4 coils. So it's the coils (they were replaced once already under recall), the plugs, one of two wiring harnesses or the computer. Mr. Emee wants to get another car. The dealership is booked through Saturday & can't get the car in until Monday morning. Even then they're so slow and such crooks that there's no telling when I'll have my car back. I might just bring a laptop home Monday night so I can work from home a couple of days.

Hope that they can fix it (and fairly cheaply!).

The light ended up going out on its own and the car never did seem to be running poorly so I'm keeping my fingers crossed at this point & stashing some away against the time when it's sick for real.
