What an imaginative lot they are at the Scottish Media Group. For the past 13 and a half years, Scottish TV's logo has been a computer generated thistle.
Niiice.
Now the thistle has seen better days, and they've undergone a rebranding exercise, adopting a fresh, vibrant, new image.
Grrreat.
Scottish TV's new logo is............ a blue square.
Mmmmmmmm.
Hang on, there's more. A blue square with "scottish tv" written underneath it by someone who doesn't know where the Shift key is on their computer.
Crrrrap.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Grampian TV has a new logo too... a blue square with "grampian tv" written under it.

I've been trying to think, and I can't remember what our logo is down here.....it's that good that it has made no impression on me at all.

Well the idea really came in the pub when we were discussing old children's programmes and the windows in playschool. You see the square is a very un-threatening shape - equally blue is considered to be a peaceful colour. you have to make people feel that they are at home with this channel.
