Well, who knew that everyone in Britain who reaches their 60th wedding anniversary gets a card from the Queen? My grandparents got theirs yesterday, and very official-looking it is too. Obviously I don't want to suggest that Her Maj' has an overblown sense of self-importance, but let's just say that none of their other cards have a large picture of the sender on the front. Still, I'm sure she'll appreciate receiving a thank-you card with a big picture of my grandparents on the front.

Still, I shouldn't be too sarcastic. Considering all the stuff I've written about her husband, it's a wonder the Queen sent them anything at all.

I've no idea who ordered it, it never even occurred to me...

The party was better than I'd expected. I'd expected it to be insufferably tedious, and it turned out to be just dull. I'd much rather have been at the meet. How did it go hon?
