I'm sure this gets asked a lot, but I'm still trying to get used to this new layout and am having a hard time finding stuff
Is there no way to link an old, previously inactive h2g2 account to the new BBC ID system? I'm quite partial to my good old 6 digit user number and would love to just get it linked up and get back into the community.

Unfortunately it's not possible to do that at the moment. But h2g2 has been sold and the new owners are going to look at reuniting researchers with their old accounts.

You're welcome Did you catch up on the sale yet?
There's an explanation somewhere from one of the techs about reuniting people with old accounts - I'm trying to find it...

I'm guessing Kea's had to pop off. The forum, or one of them at least, is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F21537567?thread=8244416&skip=0&show=20 And then there's a forum here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F21551820?thread=8245491&show=20&skip=0#pi3 where we're starting to collect those older users that'll want access to their old accounts. As part of the sale, we're going to be implementing a program called No Researcher Left Behind. Our accounts mean as much to us as yours do to you, we'll do our very best.

That would be great to know, if you can uncover it , I tried e-mailing BBC about this matter ( retrieving early accounts ) but they haven't replied
