So, after the site came back up after the maintenance thingy (for which there was no announcement, BTW) my 'My Conversation' pop up in Brunel in the old system is giving me a few negative numbers of new posts and doesn't seem to be updating properly -- threads with new posts don't come to the top, appear highlighted in red, etc.

Just thought I'd mention.


I'm trying really hard to be optimistic and keep toiling away on new Entries despite the impending 'disposal' and the continuing limited usability of Barlesque, but . . .

Bloody. I've just found your response, Fluffy. Do I have to check every convo I've ever been involved with to see if there's a new post?

I am also getting the negative posts problem. Once it goes negative, the negative count increases for each post made to that thread. Threads with a zero new post count stay at zero even when new posts are made.

At least the negative numbers give an indication, although that only helps in the My Conversations tool and renders the Barlesque Conversations page useless, unfortunately, as it doesn't display the numbers.

I think the minus number tells you how many posts have been made since the cut-off time. This includes posts you have made yourself and does not reset to zero if you have visited the thread.

The bigger problem is that the order in which the threads appear are not updated. So an old thread that has had a new posting may display -1, but it will be several pages back on the Conversations page.

If you create a new thread, the Conversations tool recognises that new thread, but only inserts it into the old list, rather than refreshing it properly.
