Busiest Forums computation

This is just idle curiosity on my part....
(so don't go to any great trouble smiley - smiley)

What is the formula used to determine the 5 busiest forums on the front page? I'm particularly interested in the amount of time span included and if it's weighted in any particular way.

Also, the most neglected entries... based on number of page views?

Thanks.

Yes it is this

The Techie team think that the calculation is simply the most number of postings in the last twelve hours.

Yes, it is based on page views. I believe it only looks at recent edited entries too.

Does that help?

Thanks! smiley - smiley

It was just curiosity. I figured it had to be over some period of time (I was guessing 24 hours, but 12 sounds right). I've noticed that it takes a fair amount of activity for a forum to get up there, but then not as much to keep it up there.

Thanks again for checking on it.
