Dear Editors, When I came back to Hootoo today, I found one of my threads had been closed because it somehow affected the Front Page. This is the thread in question. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2122521?thread=5389092&date=20080509193721 First of all, I'd like to apologize for any inconvenience I've caused. That was, of course, not my intention. Secondly, more apologies if this isn't the right place for these questions - I'm not sure whether they belong here, in Editorial Feedback or with Bug Reports. I hope I picked the right place. Now, I'm not going to ask you *how* the thread's title affected the Front Page - I'll take your word for it that it did. (I might not understand the explanation anyway... ;-)) But I am curious about two things: How can what is in essence a random thread actually affect the FP; and why hasn't it been noticed sooner? (The thread had been active for over a week.) Or *had* it been noticed, but did it take time to find the cause? Anyway, once more my apologies, and thanks for your time in reading/answering this.
