Hi all,
Hopefully I'm posting this in the right spot, if not, I'm sure I'll hear about it. So, if this isn't the correct place let me apologize in advance. Sorry.
This is a problem you've probably encountered before. I was a member of H2G2 back when it LITERALLY first started. My researcher name and number were §hadow U133044.
My problem is this, I don't know how to log back in under that name anymore, much less what the password was. The thing is, I would REALLY like to retain my old info and sign in. I've checked and my old MY SPACE is still there: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U133044 as are several of the entries I wrote back when.
How far back when? Well...I submitted them for editing via Passenger Pidgeon and they were each chipped into stone tablets using Elk horn and other implements of flint.
Any ideas how I can go about getting this redone or fixed or whatever? My direct email is [email protected] I'd truly love to become active here again. The disability that afflicted me years ago, has gotten so bad that I am now completely disabled and no longer able to work.
I've always found solace and comfort in writing and the only immortality I will ever know will reside within these pages here.
Thanks ever so much for any and all help!
Mr Scott aka §hadow

Welcome back.
I can see why you'd want to retain your old account. With a low number like that, I'd want it back too
The procedure for getting a new password is at <./>DontPanic-Register#8</.> You can email the h2g2 Editors at [email protected] and
(I think that's the right email address, please forgive me if I've gotten it wrong )
It might be complicated by the fact that your old account is well before Single Sign On became the standard for BBC sites. I'm not sure. But if you have access to the email account that your old account had stored as its address, they should be able to help you

You can try h2g2(dot)support(at)bbc(dot)co(dot)uk
Although I have a feeling that you might have lost access to that account by now.
However, you can subscribe your Guide Entries to your new account
