Drat, ... the first was an http:// link, that now goes to a "We've moved" page. The https:// is the one that I wish to have working.

I'd already posted (about the A tag) to the other thread. However, the addition of all the BBC address stuff to the front of external links was applying to http ones too. It was added to the site skins a few software "upgrades" back.

No, even using the angle tags to force a link, it's still the later stage skin generation which then gets it wrong.
