PC Deleted Files Help
Graeme Started conversation Nov 28, 2002
I have recently unwittingly deleted all of my digital photos from my PC (duff advice from a technical help bod) and need to know if there is any way i can retrieve them. I understand that although files are marked as deleted, they remain on the hard-drive until they are over-written. Where can i get help for this ?? The problem came about because i was told to insert a certain recovery CD which didnt recover anything, it simply installed a new version of the operating system, hence deleting all my precious files! Is there any hope

I'm not sure that you'll have much luck in getting the files back - if Windows was reinstalled it may well have wiped over those files. However, I'm not the greatest technical genius on hand, so there may be hope yet...

If it was an installation from a windows CD, maybe, I'm not ure wot Norton comes with thse days. But if it was from back up CD's on a system sold without a Windows CD (alas very common these days) then maybe not as these can be a Disc Image
Good Luck.
