It seems the "h2g2" portion of the URL has become completely unnecessary. Was this your intended effect?

This is simply because, in order to present a result rather than an error, we default to h2g2 as the site when we can't understand the site name entered.
It would be a shame if our attempts to be helpful were abused, though.

It is helpful, I noticed it when a link with a typo in it worked anyway. I guess I'm just cynical, and immediately saw the potential for abuse. That does make me cynical, doesn't it, and not abusive?
Not only has poor Zeppo been alabastered, the sitefilter tag won't recognize the either, so he can't tailor his own content.
