Anyone thinking about travelling to Indonesia must, in my opinion escape to the jungle for as long a period as possible.

In 1997 I spent a month in the Bukit Barisan Salatan Nasional (spelling?) park in Sumatra. It was a life changing experience. Surrounded by wild life (including tigers and bears), right on the beach, and we only saw 2 other non-indonesians in the whole time.
