A Very Brief Introduction to Bounty Hunting

0 Conversations

Bounty hunting is a well established profession in the mercenary world of VR h2g2. For the inexperienced it can be, if not fatal then very painful1 and embarressing2. Here are a few basic Do's and Don't's that will help you on your way3.

Do's

  • Do start with an easier target and work upwards towards bigger bounties as you get more experienced4.
  • Do prepare yourself at a reputable armoury5 before setting out.
  • Do research your target's previous encounters, this will forwarn you of their escape tricks.
  • Do be subtle and cunning in trying to catch your target.
  • Do, of course always follow the Laws of Continuity.

Don't's

  • Don't just walk in on a thread and say "I'm a bounty hunter. I'm here to catch ___". That wouldn't be very sensible.
  • Don't go after the most experienced target on your own6. Take a more experienced friend along with you.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
