What is 20/20 Vision benchmark and how does it work?

20/20 Vision is an old, easy to understand, standard for describing what peoples vision is capable of.

To be more exact it is the ability to read 20 point text from 10 feet away and is considered to be what is normal for most people to achieve.

Some people however, naturally(or with the help of controversial laser surgery) can achieve 20/10 vision, that is, the ability to read 10 point text (half the size of 20 point) from 20 feet away.
