Akutaq is an eskimo ice cream in english. It came from the eskimo people from long time ago. They used to make them different. They used to make them with seal oil, and some people used to make them from some other fat with berries. They mostly made them with berries with seal oil. They always like to use to make it with seal oil all the time. That's before we were born. Because they used to like it to eat it for dessert. People like to make akutaq and eat it. They like to eat it after they eat any thing like soup and dry fish. It's easy to make once you learn how to make akutaq. People make them to eat it for desert after eating some food. People enjoy making akutaq to eat for dessert, and this is how you make it.
Get a biggest bowl. But not from where you eat. A big bowl where you can mix the entire thing you're going to add. Then we add mashed potato. If some people don’t want to they don't have to put mashed potato. Then put Crisco, like about three to four hands, but not small hands. Mix it until it is whipped up. Add water like little amounts. Add like about two cups of sugar. Then mix until the sugar is all mixed. Like you don't feel it. Then add a little bit amount of water. Until it's really whipped up. Then add the berries you're going to add. Then mix until the berries are really mixed into the akutaq. Finally eat the akutaq you will enjoy.
