Leek, Staffordshire, England, UK

Located a bit south of Manchester and not far from Buxton, famous for its water, the small town of Leek is famous for nothing much in particular. Most of the towns industry used to be textile mills but with the decline of the UK manufacturing industry in the second half of the 20th century the town no longer has a main industry. The three current major employers appear to be a local building society, antique shops and fast-food takeaways.
A pretty, picturesque town (apart from the council housing estates) which is a nice place to visit and a quiet place to live. Good for antique collectors, not so good for teenagers.
