Homosexuality

Homosexuality is the attraction or sexual relations with someone of the same sex. Fifty years ago, or even twenty years ago this word was just a whisper. The only time you would have ever heard it would have been in the concerning of AIDS. In contemporary times, not only is Homosexuality a strongly growing population, but it is almost a culture. Most people are afraid to open themselves up to people with this sexual orientation for the simple reason that they are afraid of what the are not used to and do not understand. This fright is a strong issue on most college campus’s, and is something that needs to be dealt with accordingly.

The issue of homosexuality anywhere is a very touchy issue. Some people are very timid when is comes to discussing this issue but it is something that needs to be figured out. The debate over whether homosexuality should be tolerated on a college campus is a large issue that needs to be resolved.

I believe that homosexuality should be tolerated on a college campus, because homosexuals are no different from any one of us. Since there sexual inclination is toward someone of the same sex people consider them out of the norm, when that is wrong. The function just like any other person, are considered good parents, good students and anything else a heterosexual person does.

Various theories have proposed differing sources for sexual preference, including genetic or inborn hormonal factors and life experiences during early childhood. However, many scientists share the view that sexual orientation is shaped for most people at an early age through complex interactions of biological, psychological and social factors.

In some religions homosexuality is considered a sin, but times were different when these religious laws were written. Nowadays people are not afraid to express their feelings, even if they are different than most peoples. Also, I do not believe that it should be legal to discriminate against homosexuals, because there is no reason for it. They are physically, mentally and socially capable just like any other human being, so discrimination is just ridiculous.
