Imagine if we gave our neighbours

just ten minutes a day.

Ten minutes to drive more slowly.

How many neighbours wouldn't die

on our roads?

Imagine

if we all used the power that we have,

just imagine.

Imagine if cars were for transport

not status,

and the cash saved went to keep out of debt,

to work less hours,

to spend more time

with partners,

children,

our community.

Imagine if we wore out the clothes we have,

and sent the money we saved

for fresh water

for a village in Africa,

or for our grandparents

to live longer in their homes,

or to our councils to support families

in desperation.

Imagine if instead of protest

and complaint, we all stood silent

in supplication for peace,

in every town square

in every country.

Imagine

if we all used the power that we have,

just imagine.

Imagine if we all treat each other

with respect

and teach our children

to do the same.

Imagine if we treat all life

with respect

and teach our children that too.

Imagine that.
