A grand party is being planned, with delivery men hurrying back and
forth with various boxes. A heavy curtain is drawn across the doorway
and will not be pulled aside until the right moment.
Various exclamations can be heard, such as:
'Ouch, watch it - that was my foot!!
and
'Where do you want this enormous cake?'
Someone is nervously looking out through the curtains.
The Palace
As you step inside, you find yourself in a grand hall, with marble
floor and chrystal chandeliers - and lavishly decorated with balloons
and garlands and vases of fresh flowers; roses and tulips, daffodiles
and lilacs.
To the left you will find the garden, to the right the bar, and
straigt ahead the night club. If you arrive during the day, try the
garden first.
The Garden
A trio playing classical music, twirping birds, flower fairies
humming from flower to flower, a lush green carpet of grass - this is
the garden.

This is also where the welcome drinks are served, together with
various tasty little snacks.
Have a drink or two (or more), enjoy the sunshine, mingle with the
other h2g2 researchers - and do try one of the delicious snacks.
The Bar
This will no doubt be one of the more popular places during the party - especially since it is free and self-serviced!
The interior of the bar is filled with comfortable leather armchairs,
with the oval bar counter in the middle. At one end of the room you
see a pool table, and at the other end of the room you will find a
couple of dart boards.
The Night Club
A big dance floor, chairs and tables along the walls, disco lights
(complete with one of those big glittery rotating things) and a DJ
(yes, he does take requests) - this is *the* place to be!
However, for a more 'sophisticated' choice of music, try downstairs.
The dance floor is smaller, there are no glittering lights - but this
is where people get together for a jamming session.
Bring your own instrument, or try looking in the closet, over there
in the corner.
