Vegetarianism - public slaughter

0 Conversations

An imaginary scenario:
A professional Slaughter House worker takes a cow into a busy street and kills it in the same way it would be killed in a slaughter house.

Likely Reactions:
People will phone the police
People will shout abuse
People will try to rescue the cow
People will physically attack the man

Unlikely Reactions:
People will compliment him on a job well done.
People will smile because of the rural atmosphere this scene brings to the otherwise hostile city-life.

Conclusions:
A) I am wrong and they would react in a way that I think is unlikely, because they are aware of the situation, and are okay with the eating of corpses.
B) People do not associate death and animal cruelty with their food, and this display of killing would be shocking to them.
