I have been a reader all my life. I started with the Black Stallion Series and The Hardy boys,my mom would urge me to go out and play...
I have read so many good books in my life and have read many mentioned here. Terry Pratchett, I will have to look into since many of you recommend this author. If I have gotten anything from this forum it is the book recommendations,which I find invaluable,as I am always searching for great reads. I love all the star trek genre,not because they are deep,but because I know the characters. They are simply good fun. and yes, there are some decent writer in that genre.
My recommendations would be Cold Mountain and The Land Remembers.
Not Scifi at all,but then I read everything.
