Another Big fan of Rankinism here
I like it when the characters break the fourth wall and start talking about the author, like in the Witches of Chiswick;
"I think i've lost the plot"
"so have I"
"So has the author"
Also like the way things from other books pop up in later books like Barry the Guardian Time Sprout , Lazio Woodbine, and the Flying Swan though this may be a tradition, old charter or something 
"Sandra's Crotch"

"Sandra's Crotch" is rhyming slang for "It's all too much"
