0 Conversations

Norah Jones was born on March 30th, 1979 in New York, but moved to Texas with her mother at a very young age. She excelled at the piano as a child. She started writing jazz when she left school and she was signed up on the spot with Blue Note Records after playing a three track tape to the manager. Less than a year later she had written her first album, "Come Away With Me", released in Febuary 2002. She has a very unique sound, somewhere between Jazz and Lounge, and her album sold in excess of 2.5 million copies worldwide despite minimal airplay on the radio. Examples of her released singles include "Don't Know Why" and "Feeling The Same Way"
