Live Band Review: Tennason

Name of Band: Tennason

Website:http://www.tennason.com/

Tennason are a 3 piece rock band based in the midlands, but have played all around the country. When I saw the band advertised in my student union as a britpop/ indie band I was dubious but decided to check them out anyway. I was pleasantly suprised to find that they did not deserve to be pidgeon- holed with such a narrow- ranging description. The band shows influences by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Roxy Music, while managing to produce a sound and style which is also distinct and individual. The band played a mixture of original numbers and cover versions of tracks such as Ace Of Spades by Motorhead, and Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin.

Verdict: If you're looking for something to do on a friday night, and you see 'Tennason' on the billing at your local pub, club or SU, they're well worth checking out
