A Conversation for American Football
American football fields

It is a facination with Americans, at least those in media, to measure things in football fields. The script, pahphlet, or whatever has to say, "as long as 2 football fields," instead of, "200 yards."
And things are only big if they're measured in football fields. "That much money today could buy a football field in downtown Tokyo."
Something to do with the "As seen on TV" mentality.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
