Magic: The Gathering

1 Conversation

A game in which two or more people gather around a table, with decks of well illustrated but poorly thought out cards made by a certain company, for which the participants invariably paid too much money. The basic idea of the game is to deal 20 damage to your opponent, by casting spells, and "Tapping" cards. Usually this is done by playing some card which is "Ba-roken", though occasionally a game is won in which a card was used for its original intent. These games should not be confused with "Professional Magic," where everyone uses "Tech", and matches, instead of being won or lost by means of actual games of Magic, are usually decided by who accidentally broke some silly rule first. None of this detracts from the original intent of the game, which is to put a thick wad of money into a few pockets.
